There is no shortage of information on the internet about making money online or starting an internet business. Unfortunately, the vast majority of it is out of date and of dubious quality anyway.

I don't believe in any of the so called 'secret' methods that can be revealed to you for a mere $39 or whatever. There are good, solid and reliable methods of earning money online that just take some effort, patience and old fashioned work.

Personally I have made money on the internet from two sources. The first was software development and the other is affiliate marketing, which I now concentrate on.

Affiliate marketing just means promoting products and receiving a commission from the company that sells the product. It is a multi billion dollar business and the best part is that it is possible to get started without investing money.

That would be impossible with a traditional business but on the internet it really is possible to start a home business online and not have to spend anything. Signing up for an affiliate program is free and there are lots of ways to promote products without having to pay.

It does take some work but then the returns on you effort can be huge. It certainly isn't impossible to earn $1000 a day or more as an affiliate. It takes some time to get there of course since you have to learn what to do and what not to do but the first time you see $20 go into you account is not something you will ever forget.

That small amount of cash means a great deal. It is proof that what you do as an affiliate actually works and you realize that if you do more of the same, the money will increase.

With no money to risk to get started and your only costs are your free time there is every reason to become a successful internet marketer yourself.
